Each class period is about 50 minutes long and, during a regular school day, each student will receive instruction in a variety of subject areas. Along with required courses, there are also some elective classes that students are able to take. The number of electives taken varies by grade level.
Students eligible for services in Special Education, English Language Learning (ELL), or demonstrating skills below grade level in Math may be scheduled into classes in place of, or in addition to, some of the required courses listed below.

Elective Courses The majority of elective classes will be mixed grade level. Due to the number of students enrolled at Evergreen, there is the possibility that students will NOT get their "top" choice elective class. This is why we require all students to list alternates. Hillsboro Online Academy (HOA) Electives New in the 2018-19 school year is the opportunity to access HOA electives during a class period in the Evergreen schedule. These classes are best suited for students who are good self-managers, as the class is taught virtually rather than in-person. There are limited spots available and students can only forecast for ONE choice. Final placement is by APPLICATION ONLY and must be approved by Parent & Counselor or Administrator.
